My Girl, Jury Duty, and Alternator

Okay long time no post. My girl went to stay with my mom the last several weeks. Miss her alot. I will be picking her up over labor day weekend. I'm looking forward to it because I'll get to see my family.

On Monday, August 21st, I had to spend the day in Philadelphia in Jury Duty. Lucky me. I won't lie but I freaked out. I took the train into Philadelphia instead of driving. I'm glad that I did. I met up with this nice lady at the station and we sat together on the train. She had been on jury duty before in Philly so it was nice to meet someone who knew what to do. When we got off, we took the the subway over to the East Market Station. We met up with 3 others going to jury duty. Well in reality two of them had jury duty and one was the father of one of the girls. He was going along because she didn't want to be in philly alone. I don't blame her. We stayed together and walked down to the court house. We went in going through security, riding up the escalator to the 2nd floor, walked down to the room and sat down. From there on, we got to know each other better. We joked around. Let me descibe them for you.

Jen was 15 weeks pregnant and is very nice and in her early 30's. Cindy was a little older in her 40's and going through menapause and kept forgetting things even if she said them. Sam was the youngest in her early 20's and who brought her father along with. Her father walked around philly while she was inside. After several jokes and witty comments between us, we attracted the attention of the guy in front of us. He slowly turned around to be involved in the conversation. His name is Greg and I would say about last 20's. So that brought the total of our little group up to 5.

I have to say after meet those nice people, it wasn't boring. I didn't read once. Oh I had lunch with Jen and Greg in front of the Independence Hall. Neat, huh. I have a philly cheese steak in philly. I know cheesy but I did it. :-) All in all, it was great to meet those nice people and at the end of the day, in a way, I missed them because we became good friends through a common hassle of jury duty.

My son is teething horribly. He is trying to break a record or something of getting 5 teeth in at once. Ouch it makes my gums hurt just thinking of it. He is just so squeezable and he has the prettiest smile. Of course I have him spoiled. :-)

And finally yesterday, my alternator died in my car. We got that fixed fairly quickly but it was interesting to see everything die in the car when driving it. I don't want to go through that again.
